Urges the Commission to include the protection of children among the main priorities of the Consumer Agenda and propose a ban on TV advertising and direct advertising aimed at children under the age of 12, establishing for this purpose codes of conduct to regulate commercial communications on food and drink which target children under the age of 12, in order to help prevent obesity and promote healthy living; calls on the Commission to protect children from advertising through the promotion also of a code of conduct that encourages audiovisual commercial communications that do not cause moral or physical detriment to children;
