Regrets the overall destabilising role of Turkey in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Nagorno Karabakh, that threatens regional peace, security and stability in the regions; is extremely concerned by, and strongly condemns, the illegal activities and threats of military action against EU Member States, notably Greece and Cyprus, carried out by Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean and its new announced illegal activities within Cypriot and Greek maritime zones; Deplores the fact that despite the efforts for de- escalation, Turkey continues its unilateral provocative actions, violating international law and the sovereign rights of EU Member States in the area; reiterates the Union’s readiness to use all instruments and options at its disposal, including in accordance with Article 29 TEU and Article 215 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), in order to defend its interests and those of its Member States, as well as to uphold regional stability;
