Encourages the Member States to address – within their operational programmes – their national and regional needs when making use of ‘green’ public procurement, in order to promote green growth opportunities for SMEs (such as recycling, green energy production, energy efficiency and energy saving schemes); calls on the Commission to inform Parliament on the percentage/number of SMEs investing in green growth and ecological innovation that are financed through the operational programmes in each Member State;
