Points out that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises employ many workers in the EU and that one of the main problems in setting up such enterprises and keeping them going is that of obtaining finance; proposes, therefore, that the microfinance element be expanded and the accompanying mentoring support further developed and always ensured;
