Points out that, in the outermost regions, the search for employment solutions, especially in times of economic contraction, is compromised by the lack of interconnectivity, and, given the importance of agriculture in these regions, takes the view that the funds under the CAP ought to continue to apply positive discrimination to these territories facing specific constraints as recognised in the TFEU, given its multiplier effect in terms of promoting other related activities, such as agro-industry, tourism, nature conservation, energy production and the circular economy, in a way that complements the multi-fund strategy for more cohesion and balanced territotrial development;
