Notes the 10% decrease of new infringement procedures open in 2018 compared to 2017; regrets, however, the increase in the number of new infringement procedures in 2019; welcomes the consecutive decrease in new late transposition cases both in 2017, 2018 and 2019; regrets that, despite recent progress, timely and correct application of EU law remain a matter of concern in a number of Member States;
