Calls on the Commission to maintain the objective of including a specific energy chapter in the TTIP which could significantly increase the EU’s energy security and urges the Commission to integrate in this chapter clear guarantees for not undermining the EU's existing environmental policy framework and acquis and for not restricting the EU's ability to protect its environment, fight climate change and use public policy to differentiate between different energy source due to their environmental impacts or carbon content;
