Urges the Chinese regime to fully cooperate with an independent investigation into the origins of COVID- 19, and calls on the Member States to present a united front towards a rising China, which is leading a crackdown on the pro-democracy movement in Hong Kong and, has threatened to annex Taiwan and has increased its activities in Tibet, Xinjiang and the South China Sea; calls on the Member States to advocate Taiwan’s membership of the WHO;

Recognises that COVID-19 hit large parts of Latin America, highlighting pre-existing vulnerabilities and particularly impacting the indigenous communities; welcomes the announcement of 30.5 million in humanitarian assistance to support the most vulnerable in Latin America and the Caribbean in 2020, including an Air Bridge to Peru, as part of the EU's global coronavirus response; calls on the Commission to keep engaging with Latin American countries to keep reinforcing a strategic partnership built on common values;
