Calls on the Commission to urge the Member States to ensure proper management and adequate disposal of waste accidentally caught or collected during voluntary campaigns, so that responsibility for and costs of delivery, management and disposal of such waste are not borne by the fishermen, and to avoid further damage to the environment; stresses, therefore, the need to establish effective systems for waste collection and disposal, ensuring, too, the presence of adequate port waste reception facilities;
