1. Calls on the Commission and the Member States to include gender mainstreamingenhance equality between men and women in transport- related legislation, policy, programmes and action, to support cooperation with stakeholders and the exchange of good practices to increase the number of women in transport professions, and to improve the collection and analysis of sex- disaggregated data on behaviour, needs and concerns in mobility;

Calls on the Commission, the Member States, local authorities and the relevant stakeholders to provide a transport system that is tailored to women’s needs and their favoured modes of transporttakes into account the varying needs of women and men alike and the modes of transport they actually prefer to use by improving accessibility, safety (particularly during the pandemic) and comfort, and prioritising adequate investment accordingly;

Urges the Commission to issue recommendations to promote and further increase women’s participation in mobility-related consultation, planning and decision- making processes and to encourage companies to improve equal opportunities for women and men, with a particular focus on innovation in transport, the shift towards sustainable mobility, attracting and retaining talent, and improving working conditions.
