Considers that the EU should fully implement the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) through the Union Emissions Trading System (ETS), while allowing for 50 % of the journeys to be excluded, provided that the destination is implementing CORSIA through national measures; proposes that the EU ETS should be retained for flights within the European Economic Area (EEA)and calls on the European Commission and EU Member States to work with third countries to enhance capacity-building and ensure the global robustness of the scheme;
