Call on the Commission to assist Member States ensuring that victims of stalking can benefit from the protection afforded by existing measures such as the European Protection Order, Regulation on mutual recognition of protection measures in civil matters, and the EU Victims' Directive when moving from one EU Member State to another, and to consider further measures to improve the protection of victims of stalking, considering that figures show that 18 % of women in the EU have experienced stalking since the age of 15, and one in five victims of stalking said that the abusive behaviour had continued for two years or longer 1 b . __________________ 1bViolence against women: an EU-wide survey.
