Notes that the CAP primarily provides around 500 million European citizens with high-quality, affordable food every day; notes further that this costs each EU citizen only EUR 0.32 per day; stresses that the CAP, as the only fully integrated EU-level policy, contributes the highest European added value and that a nationally-financed agricultural policy would be considerably more expensive;
