Emphasises that there are still major competitiveness issues for European producers owing to the wide divergences compared with Moroccan producers in terms of labour costs, working conditions and environmental standards; stresses the need to make European products more competitive, putting an end to preferential agreements with third countries in the near future; recognizes the need to protect European arable and livestock farm products against unfair competition from third countries;
