Recalls that gender disparities in the ownership of and access to resources (such as land, credit and technology), coupled with sociocultural barriers, increase the exposure of those resources to climatic risks; points out that women can help to bring about change through the adoption of innovative practices to mitigate the devastating effects of climate change;
