During the examination of an application, consulates may in justified cases carry out an interview with the applicant and request additional documents.; These interviews may be conducted by consulates using modern digital tools and remote means of communication, such as voice or video calls via internet. (This amendment applies throughout the text. Adopting it will necessitate corresponding changes throughout.)
