Firmly emphasises that corporate management and remuneration policies must be sound and responsible and comply with the principles of wage parity and equal treatment of women and men, in accordance with the EU provisions in force; calls on the Commission to bring forward measures to ensure a more balanced representation of women on boards of directors, with the aim of achieving at least 40% representation of each gender by 2020;
