Reiterates its deep regret and incomprehension that - despite repeated calls by the European Parliament1a with overwhelming majority - the Recovery and Resilience Facility investments fail to reflect the enormous economic and social significance of the cultural and creative sectors which account for 4.4% of the EU’s GDP and about 8.7 million jobs in the EU, leaving these sectors considerably underrepresented in the EU’s overall effort to overcome the pandemic and to support the recovery and resilience of the European economy; _________________ 1a e.g. in its resolution of 17 September 2020 on the cultural recovery of Europe and in its resolution of 20 October 2021 on the situation of artists and the cultural recovery in the EU
