Takes note of the conclusions of the “Fitness Check of the Birds and Habitats Directives” published by the Commission in 2017; however, refers to recent studies of scientists and experts which show that over the last 25 years birds have suffered from significant declines and show no sign of recovery; in light of this, calls on the Commission to update and enlarge the Directives’ Annexes without undue delay;
