C. whereas the EU, through continuous actions at bilateral and multilateral level, contributed to advancing human rights in 2018 has continued to give firm support to measures advancing and upholding human rights as a core concept in terms of multilateral relations, in particular by strengthening the political dialogue with non-EU countries, and by establishing new international agreements, inter alia trade and economic partnerships;

Welcomes the ratifications of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; reiterates the importance of efficient implementation by both the EU Member States and the EU institutions; stresses, in particular, the need to credibly mainstream the principle of universal accessibility and to ensure all the rights of persons with disabilities throughout all relevant EUEU development policies;
