Is concerned about the European Commission's strategy to increase free trade agreements, which runs counter to a policy of relocating strategic production and jobs in the European Union; calls for the end of trade agreements if they are not conditioned by social and environmental clauses, if the principle of reciprocity of production standards and mirror clauses are not generalised, and if suspensive measures for sensitive products in terms of food, public health, the fight against climate change and the protection of biodiversity are not put in place; underlines that the entirety of trade agreements should be submitted to the procedure of ratification of mixed agreements;

Recalls that the EU health and safety strategy should take into account specific risks in new sectors and incorporate risks deriving from climate change and environmental degradation; notes that several sectors impacted by the transition will face increasingly difficult working conditions, especially regarding occupational health and safety: workers in the agriculture, construction and care sectors, seasonal and migrant workers in particular; stresses that climate change already negatively impacts working conditions of many workers, in particular when they work outside and are particularly vulnerable to heat waves; calls for the implementation of particular measures taking into consideration the effects of climate change on working conditions, such as the adjustment of working hours; considers that the transition is the right time to rethink the organisation of work and promote the four-day of work week with no loss of pay;
