Reiterates the importance of the European Union Solidarity Fund (EUSF) in providing financial assistance to Member States and regions hit by natural disasters; welcomes the recent extension of the EUSF’s scope to major public health emergencies, since the occurrence of new pandemics in the medium term cannot be ruled out;
