Calls on the Commission to ensure that the Member States comply with theall relevant EU and UN obligations on the rights of persons with disabilities, in particular the UN CRPD and the CRPD Committee’s General Comments to the Convention, and with the relevant EU measures and funding rules, and to provide support to them in this regardand their families in this regard; calls for the EU and those Member States who have not yet done so to ratify the Optional Protocol to the UNCRPD; highlights that a social model where disability is mainstreamed across public policies is necessary;
