If the date on which the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the Union becomes legally effective falls after the European Parliament elections in 2019, each Member State concerned shall designate the persons who will fill the additional seats resulting from the difference between the number of seats allocated to that Member State in Article 3 of Decision 2013/312/EU and the number of seats allocated to it in the second subparagraph of paragraph 1 of this Article. Member States shall designate the persons who will fill those additional seats in accordance with their legislation, provided that the persons in question have been elected by direct universal suffrage and by reference to the results of the European Parliament elections in 2019.deleted
