Stresses the need for actions which do not just focus on drug-based treatment of Alzheimer's once the condition has developed, but also on preventative measures, including diet and nutrition, to reduce the chances of developing Alzheimer's; calls for extensive research into the effects of diet and nutrition on Alzheimer's and for advice, including nutritional advice, on preventing the disease to be developed and disseminated to the public through awareness raising campaigns.
