Welcomes the far-reaching reforms already undertaken by Georgia; notes that further efforts should be encouraged, especially in the areas of sanitary and phytosanitary measures (notably as regards institutional capacity-building in food safety control), public procurement, technical barriers to trade, intellectual property rights, legal and administrative burdens on businesses and customs services;

6. Encourages the Georgian authorities to develop and implement a comprehensive public awareness programme to ensure that businesses, SMEs, farmers and citizens in general are fully informed of the opportunities and benefits offered by the DCFTA and available support programmes;
