Asks the Member States to take into account the strong gender dimension of disclosure rates, withat boys and men reporting abuse less frequently than girls and women, who for their part often delay self- reporting, when transposing Article 15 or amending the legislative provisions on the statute of limitations on the self- reporting of sexual crimes committed against minors; recommends that any statute of limitations runs from the date of majority instead of the date on which the offence was committed;

Notes with concern that the human trafficking and the sex tourism industry affects significant numbers of underage girls; encourages the Commission and the Member States to intensify their efforts to combat child sex tourism and human trafficking and to focus on travel organisations and authorities with a view to raising awareness about the gravity of these crimes among travellers;
