Encourages open and transparent dialogue among all stakeholders and the public for the responsible development of high-precision, innovative solutions for breeding programmes, this will require efforts to raise awareness and understanding of new techniques among farmers and the public generally; calls on the Commission to ensure that consumers and farmers are sufficiently educated in new and emerging breeding techniques to ensure that an open and informed public debate can take place;
