Believes that the Single Market can and should be re-launched so as to offer more growth and more and better jobs for European businesses, workers and consumers; believes, in that respect, that the Single Market needs to encompass the three mutually reinforcing pillars of the EU 2020 strategy to achieve its objectives;

5. Strongly supports the efforts to pursue international trade negotiations; reiterates in this respect the importance of including social and environmental standards in all trade agreements concluded between the EU and third countries;
