Calls on the Commission to combat discriminatory, illegitimate and protectionist measures by third countries, such as ‘buy local’ policies, local content requirements or forced technology transfers, to ensure that European companies can operate in a fair and predictable environment; recalls that legitimate policy objectives such as cyber and data security must not be abused by third countries to justify digital protectionism;
