Stresses that, in order to address current market barriers to ship efficiency and lower emissions, transparency and the real transport work data in the EU Monitoring, Reporting, Verification (MRV) system should be preserved if and when the EU decides should the EU decide to bring its emissions inventory system for international shipping into align its systemne with the International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) recently adopted Data Collection System (DCS), there should be a uniform adjustment process;
