Considers that users’ trust in digital services is vital to innovation and growth in the digital economy and that reinforcing that trust should be at the basis of both public policy and business models; shares the objectives of harmonizing and improving the protection of European consumers in the field of online shopping. However, reform of the legal framework must be based on evidence. Therefore, before addressing this reform it is necessary to ensure the effective implementation and impact assessment of the rules contained in Directive 2011/83/EU;
