Considers it necessary to take account of the fact that, in practiuse European financial resource,s the elimination ofo improve housing conditions in Roma settlements cannot be achieved using EU resources under the rules which currently apply to the European Regional Development Fund, as, in the case of Member States which acceded after 2004, the minimum population figure for the eligibility of settlements for financing from housing budgets is such that it is precisely those living under the worst conditions, in the smallest settlements, who cannot be reachedd calls on the Commission to draw up appropriate rules on minimum population figures to make such financing possible;
