Stresses that energy policy cooperation must contribute to the promotion of the core values of the Union, such as respect for human rights, democracy, good governance, the rule of law, social dialogue, the fight against climate change and the protection of the environment, and mustshould promote peace and be coherent with the Union's foreign policies in a coordinated manner that does not undermine the EU's leading strategic energy policy and security interests and priorities.
