Notes, however, that societies which have high ICT use also have high mobility, and that reducing the need to travel for some activities will not necessarily reduce the overall number of journeys; considers that ICT solutions must be accompanied by awareness, education, and a determined policy to reduce travel; considers further that reduction targets for companies and organisations would be useful in this context;
