Calls for a report on stray animals recommending concrete solutions and including the evaluation of a, their numbers in the EU and the measures taken by EU Member States to deal with the problem; Calls on the Commission to conduct an evaluation of the effectiveness of measures applied in the Member States, including systems for the registration and the electronic identification of pets, to be addwhereupon based ton the list of actionsse evaluations the Commission shall propose concrete solutions to reduce the number of stray animals in the EU;
