HopUrges that increased efforts on the part of Croatia and enhanced support by the EU institutions can still lead to the European Union institutions to step up their efforts to complete the accession negotiations with Croatia and to take due care finalisation of an accession treaty in time for Parliament to consider it that connection to ensure that the accession treaty can be finalised before the next elections in June 2009, so as to start the ratification process as early as possible;
