Highlights that the deployment of infrastructure adequate in coverage, quality and security is crucial for digitising European industry and increasing e- governance;, and recognises that the deployment of this infrastructure is lacking behind especially in rural, mountainous and remote areas at the expense of business development and competitiveness in those areas.
