(1a) This is not a stand-alone regulation, it is in conjunction with the Directive on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sales of goods and repealing Directive 1999/44/EC and the Directive on certain aspects concerning contracts for the supply of digital content and digital services that it will contribute to the creation of a digital single market.

Where a credit check cannot be carried out in the country of the consumer or would impose a disproportionate burden, this shall constitute an objectively justified reason for excluding payment by invoice as a payment possibility.
