Calls once again on the Commission to review its administrative procedures for the appointment of its Secretary-General, Directors-General and Directors, with the objective of fully ensuring that the best candidates are selected within a framework of maximum transparency and equal opportunities; suggests that in the context of a further parliamentarisation of the institutional structure of the Union, parliamentary hearings of senior officials of the Union executive should be envisaged;
