H. whereas EFP, especially ESOPs or similar schemes could has positive and negative elements to it; whereas, if it is done well, EFP might act as a shock absorber, allowing bonuses or other rewards to be managed in trusts by third parties, spreading the investment risk among the company’s principal shareholders and ensuring that workers have a portfolio of saved sharesensuring that workers have a portfolio of saved shares; whereas in situations where EFP is used to replace income from work, this puts the concerned employee at risk of poverty and destabilises income continuity; whereas EFP shifts the economic risk from the company to the worker;
