Believes that in order for Parliament to be able to make an informed decision regarding consent, the Commission should perform a gender impact assessment as well as a fundamental rights impact assessment, on the basis of its reinforced assessment of the impact of new legislative proposals on fundamental rights and in order to guarantee that the EU is beyond reproach in upholding and promoting women’'s rights;
