WelcomesTakes note of the negotiations on data flows under the EPA provided that these prov; expects that these provisions will properly protect personal data and privacy as recommended by the European Data protection supervisor; in particular, ask the Commissions will properly protect personal data and privacy to follow the recommendation that the negotiated rules should not prevent the EU or the Member States from adopting, in justified cases, measures that would require controllers or processors to store personal data in the EU/EEA; asks the Commission to carry out an impact assesment of how free flow of data between Japan and the EU could impact the new EU legislation such as The Digital Services Act (DSA), the Digital Markets Act (DMA), the Data Act, the Data Governance Act (DGA), and the AI Act before the conclusion of negotiations;
