Emphasises that in the context of promoting social enterprises it is important that there should be improved access to funding both at the European and at the national level, noting that existing shortcomings in information on social enterprises complicate the task of finding investors. At this point it is worth noting that social enterprises are more competitive and productive than we think, primarily as a result of the personal commitment of the people working for them and the better working conditions;
