Stresses that it is necessary to require greater transparency and better consumer information regarding surcharges and additional fees for the various payment methods, given that traders generally include transaction costs in the price of their products and services, with the result that consumers are not properly informed in advance regarding the total cost and pay more for their purchases, thereby undermining consumer confidence;
