ConcludesPoints out that no account has been taken to date of the Court of Auditors’ finding that ESMA’s mixed financing arrangement is inflexible, burdensome and a potential threat to its independence; therefore calls on the Commission toESMA to cooperate actively with the Commission for the purposes of reconsidering the financing arrangement and providing favour ofor an independent budget line from the EU budget and for the introduction of fees byfor market participants.
