Feels that small airports should become an EU priority; urges, therefore, the Commission to devote particular attention to small airports and provide the Member States with a greater number of effective financial tools and instruments that help them to preserve small regional airports, particularly those situated in peripheral areas, and that make it possible for Member States to invest in the airport infrastructure that they administer;
