Calls on the Commission to step up the development and deployment of low- carbon technologies and to strengthenmake proposals for at least 30% renewable energy in the EU by 2030 and, at the very least, ensure the rolrate of renewable energy sourcesincrease in installed renewable energy is maintained at current level in order to save on fuel imports; welcomesconcurs with the Commission’s view of renewable energy as a no-regrets option and stresses the importance of developing smarter energy grids and new energy storage solutions;
