Regrets that the Commission has maintained the restrictive scope for the exemptions to state aid rules in the field of social housing, limiting it to disadvantaged citizens or socially less advantaged groups in the recent SGEI package; calls on the Commission to take a flexible and constructive stance towards Member States that experience difficulties with their social housing sector because of this definition;
