Notes that in order to strengthen the stability of the banking system and avoid the development of the ‘too big to fail’ syndrome, consideration should be given to introducinglimits should be imposed on the overall size of banks and a full separation between deposit and investment banks, introduced on the lines of the ‘Volcker Rule’ in the US;
